Prof. Shigang Chen (IEEE Fellow)
University of Florida, USA
Shigang Chen received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign in 1996 and 1999, respectively. Prior to that, he received B.S. degree in
Computer Science from University of Science and Technology of China in 1993. After graduating
from UIUC, he worked with Cisco Systems on network security for three years and helped starting
a network security company, Protego Networks. He joined University of Florida as an assistant
professor in 2002, and was promoted to associate professor in 2008 and to professor in 2013. He
was a recipient of IEEE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award in 1999, NSF CAREER
Award in 2007, and Cisco University Research Award in 2007, 2012. He published 270+
peer-reviewed journal/conference papers and have 13 US patents. He held University of Florida
Research Foundation Professorship in 2017-2020 and University of Florida Term Professorship in
2017-2020. He is an IEEE Fellow and an ACM Distinguished Member.
Prof. Ke Tang(IEEE Fellow)
Southern University of Science and Technology, China
Prof. Ke Tang is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUS Tech). Before joining SUS Tech in January 2018, he was with the School of Computer Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), first as an Associate Professor (2007-2011) and then as a Professor (2011-2017). His research interests include fundamental issues of Evolutionary Computation and Machine Learning, as well as applied AI techniques for industrial design, finance and smart logistics. He is a recipient of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Outstanding Early Career Award and the Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education (MOE) of China, and was awarded the Newton Advanced Fellowship (Royal Society) and the Changjiang Professorship (MOE of China).
Prof. Janusz Kacprzyk
The Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland
Prof. Janusz Kacprzyk studies computer science and automatic control at the Department of Electronics, Warsaw University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland. during1965 - 1970. He did his M.S. in computer science and automatic control in 1970 from the Warsaw University of Technology. He was awarded Ph.D. with distinction in systems analysis received in October, 1977 from the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. He was awarded with D.Sc. (habilitation) in computer science in 1990 from the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences. He was a full Professor, since 1997, awarded by President of the Republic of Poland and Academician (Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences), since 2002. He is a fellow of IEEE, IFSA and member-correspondent, Polish Academy of Sciences. He is foreign Member, Spanish Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences (Real Academia de Ciencias Economicas y Financieras) and President, International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA). He is President, Polish Society for Operational and Systems Research (PTBOiS). He has edited number of volumes in Fuzzy systems and soft computing.
